Curriculum
Q: What technologies are you studying in programming? (e.g VB.net, J2EE)
A: The foundation of our work is done in C++. We do offer classes on VB.Net, Java, Perl, PHP, C#, and ASP.Net. The C# and ASP.Net classes go into more depth than the classes on the other technologies.

Software
Q: What are the terms for the Academic Alliance?
A: The software is licensed to the student who checks it out, it may not be distributed to any other person while in the possession of the student who signed for it. Distributing this software or installing it on any computer but your own is a violation of the Microsoft licensing and rules of this department.

You are responsible for the software CDs while in your possession. If you loose the CDs you will be charged the current OIT bookstore retail value. This is for loss or failure to return the software CDs, not for any accidental damage to them.

The software CDs must be returned by the date and time specified on the check out form. Failure to return the CDs by the specified time will revoke your privileges to check out software in the future. One week after the due date your OIT account will be charged the current retail value of the software. It will be assumed after this time you intend not to return the software. Attempts will be made to contact you before this action is 'taken.

This software is keyed and requires you to register it online with Microsoft. It can only be re-installed and re-registered a limited number of times. If you wrongly distribute the software it will reduce your capabilities of re-installing the software after a hard drive crash or similar situation.

The software distribution is provided as a courtesy of the CSET department. We are under no obligation to make software available and reserve the right to refuse checking out software to any student. The check out hours change for each term, they are listed on the door of PV 111. These are the only times you can check out software. If none of the listed times match your schedule a buddy option is available. Refer to the "Buddy/Spouse" check out form/policy.

A more detailed explanation of the Alliance rules are posted outside PV 111, please review them prior to signing a request form.

Student
Q: Will I ever get to sleep?
A: After the term is over and before the next one starts is a good time to try sleeping. Don't get used to it though.

Website
Q: What is the link to the Academic Alliance website?
A: You can find the link (ELMS Server) under the "CSET Labs" section on the menu.
  Q: Where's the alumni section?
A: If you login and you are a member of the alumni you will see a section named "Alumni" in the menu beneath the login.

If you are an alumni and do not have a login, please contact your favorite professor.
  Q: How can I add a testimonial?

-Your CSET majors
-Graduation year
-Employer (after graduation, if any)
